Hotel Telegrafo is one of the oldest in Havana, in fact opened its doors to the public in 1860, several years after the construction of the first telegraph station in the country, from which comes the name of the hotel. in 1914 every room already had a phone, offering guests the service for domestic and international calls, as a novelty and attractiveness for the time. In March 2022 it was officially reopened . Located at the intersection of Prado and Neptuno, the hotel is within walking distance from the seafront, very close to the most famous sights of Old Havana (the Capitol is practically next door) and with an enviable position if you want visit the colonial part of town. Inside, only the high ceilings and supporting arches offer an inkling of his past, because the lobby has been renovated and furnished with an eclectic design with modern furniture, making it similar to a modern art gallery. This style carries over to the bar, where the remains of tall brick arches of the original structure contrast artfully with the new decor. The spacious rooms have also been renovated and are comfortably (only some of the preserved remains of the original walls).
